Thoughts on Couch Surfing

For the last month James and I have been couch surfing here in Hamilton while waiting for him to finish up work. All of our stuff has been moved up to Lindsay and we have been living out of suitcases and a few boxes.

It has been really fun.

Thanks to Bonnie and Chris we have had a great homeless experience the last month. They have been so generous to us! They provided us with food and shelter and a bed and a shower and friendship. We are clean and well rested AND happy. It's been such a joy to spend the month with them!

We also house-sat for a week at my coworker Audrey's house. It was nice to have a whole house and patio to ourselves. (and a HUGE tv!). It was  great experience! Thanks so much to Audrey and John for that.

It is really humbling and such a blessing to spend a month in someone else's home. We have had to rely on the generosity of others, which is sometimes REALLY hard to do! We have amazing friends who have proved that we can count on them for anything! I will say it again: we are so blessed!

Tomorrow we are off to the cottage to spend a few more days with good friends and then we start our new adventure in Lindsay! Please pray that the transition goes well (and especially that I find a job!).
Happy last week of summer all!
